The new Millennium officially started in Greenwich, England on 1st January 2001. This was the world's biggest dome built on the Meridian Line. This is the Prime Meridian of the World in Greenwich, England too celebrate this historic event.

The Millennium Dome officially re-opened as the new, called The O2 on 24 June 2007.

On that day:

Former Prime Minster Tony Blair resigned as Labour Party leader.
John Prescott resigned as Deputy Leader of the Labour Party.

 

   The O2 for Events

For major events you can book 20,000 seater at The O2 Arena. 
The O2 supports:

Music from classical to rock, with crystal-clear sound.
Theater events.
The O2 can also support England... sporting events and ice shows.

The O2 is the official partner of London’s 2012 Olympic Games.  The O2 during the Winter Olympic Games we will be hosting both the gymnastics and basketball finals.

The Entertainment Avenue is open to the public to visit day and night. Entertainment Avenue covers, surrounds the O2 arena and is lavished with restaurants, bars, clubs and a fantastic 11 screen multiplex cinema.

Even if you don't have tickets for event at The O2, Entertainment Avenue is the fanciful place to be with your family, friends and also for tourist to enjoy.
